Just fixed another ipod, and everything's working good so far. 

installing vshare

You will need a jail broken iOS device with Cydia and Installous.

1. Launch Cydia and go to sources and add the source repocydia.com

2. install and restart springboard

3. in Cydia search for appVV or Vshare and download it.

4. Turn off wifi / 3g

5. Start installous and go to download and install appVV or Vshare.

6. Exit installous

7. Turn on wifi / 3g

8. Vshare should now be working. 

This is it you now have an alternative to installous.  It worked for me.
